All summer though my friends been a little weird when it came to my birthday. and then recently one friend was calling my house to talk to my mom. Don't get my wrong my moms pretty cool, but thats still kinda weird. Now this friend, allison, she's the kind of girl who loves parties. So i thought maybe she was throwing a party for me, but you cant say ' oh hey are you throwing me a surprise party??' cause if they aren't you'd feel like a moron. so. I didn't say anything but i kind was expecting. So my birthday came and my parents kept saying 'we're doing something to night, but its a surprise so we can't tell you what it is!' So at this point i was pretty dang sure.
That night my parents told me to get dressed up and get in the car. They drove me to the Kennedy Center in DC to see the play Mary Poppins. The play was fantastic, but defiantly not what i was expecting. So at this point i just felt like an idiot. I didn't get to see my boyfriend on my birthday so we hung out the next day. We watched a movie in the afternoon because it was to hot to go out side. Then he took me fishing. The fish i caught was little but i was very proud of it.
After fishing we went to get something to eat and we decided to go to my house to just hang out and play pool in my basement. We went home and said hi to my parents then went down stairs to play pool. As i turned the corner i saw a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign. As i was thinking 'What the heck what's that for" a huge group of my friends jumped out and yelled surprise. I was a little pissed that i smelled like fish and didn't look all that cute but it was one of my best birthdays yet. It was awesome.
